We can make recommendations for reducing the risk of hearing damage through evaluation of employee daily personal noise exposures.  Advice is given to employers and employees of their respective duties under The Regulations.

Assessments have been made at a wide range of work places, from standard industrial premises, through entertainment venues such as pubs and clubs to the proof testing of an elephant gun on a rifle range; for this last test, we initially requested that 20 rounds be fired; however when we were informed that each round cost £50 and caused the firer to recoil a metre backwards, we revised our request to just 5 rounds.  Even wearing ear plugs and top grade ear muffs together, the gun sounded pretty loud!
